YSKHÖD is a Visual Novel made for a school project.

I was part of a team of 8 Game Artists and 4 Game Designers.

​

In the game, you play a mother, part of a Northern tribe. The land's not fertile anymore, the tribe has to go into exile and find new land to live on.

During your journey, you'll encounter multiple situations and problems. You'll have to choose to either blame them on rational causes or mystical ones.

​

The characters and environment will evolve depending on your choices.

UI Design


I searched for button designs for both the starting screen and the pause screen.

The pause button was clean by a teammate afterward.

Environment Design


I had to create a calm and appeasing valley.

I first put a river in the center but had to change it since there is constant traveling from right to left, and seeing the same river again and again and again would have been illogical.

Character Design - Drya


I had to create an extroverted scientist, who was part of the tribe.

I first went with orange and green as my main colors, but they were too similar to the colors of the mother's character, and we didn't want them to be mistaken for sisters.

She's one of the two characters that do not get impacted by the player's choices physically. No matter what path the player takes, she will still strongly believe that the cause of the problems is rational, scientific.
